Sony Xperia U To Get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Soon

Sony Xperia U got upgraded from Android 2.3 Gingerbread to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and very soon, the handset will get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade. Insiders have revealed that along with Xperia U, Xperia Go, Sola, and P, would be receiving the Jelly Bean upgrade in December. Indian users might have to wait for the upgrade for some time. Back in May, Sony had officially announced the availability of Xperia U, P and the Xperia Sola in India.

Sony Xperia U dons a 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen supporting a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It initial came with Android 2.3 out of the bosx, which can be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also packs 1 GHz STE U8500 dual-core processor. With a 5MP camera with auto focus, 16x digital zoom, LED flash, 512MB RAM and 50GB cloud space, this smartphone is undoubtedly smart.

Sibling to Xperia S, Xperia P comes with a 10.2-cm (4-inch) scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. It also runs Android 2.3 OS and offers room for upgradation. The chassis of the phone houses 1 GHz U8500 dual-core processor. It comes with an 8MP camera with auto focus and features digital zoom of 8x and LED flash. The device offers an internal memory of 16GB, out of which up to 13GB is accessible to the user, and 1GB RAM. It also provides 50GB cloud space free for life. The smartphone comes at a price of Rs 26,799.

The NFC-ready Xperia Sola is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and features a 9.4-cm (3.7-inch) scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen and 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash. It offers 8GB internal memory (up to 5GB accessible to the user), microSD memory card slot and 50GB cloud space for life. It carries a price tag of Rs 20,449.
